“I am so glad I consulted with you. The chemotherapy I was receiving was causing me to lose weight. Through your diet I was able to put the much needed weight back on and keep my immune system strong. Even when I had trouble getting food down you were able to work out a way for me to get my much needed calories. I still avoid those foods you told me would weaken my immune system and I feel you really helped me during my treatments.
- Mildred Harnack,
Lyndhurst, NJ

“I have nothing but great things to say about The Banish! Program. I am 53 and have smoked since I was a teenager. I have tried to quit countless times. Cold turkey, patches, gum, zyban, you name it I tried it. All except hypnosis. I'm not even sure how I found out about your site, but I decided to sign up. Right after the session I felt different. Very little cravings and no cheating. I have been smoke free now for 5 months. This is a huge accomplishment for me. I have never been able to go more then a week or two without backsliding and returning to smoking. I am so delighted that your program worked. I have told several people about it and will continue to spread the word if anyone is trying to quit.”
–Edward Robinson,
Pequannock, NJ

My acne cleared up, my energy came back and I feel bad saying this, because everyone wants to lose weight, but I gained the weight I needed.”
-Mary Lou, Maywood, NJ

“My boyfriend went out and signed me up to see Dr. Robert, knowing how debilitating my depression had become. I was skeptical, because anything I’d ever tried in the past that promised relief never worked.

I was really surprised at what Dr. Robert told me. I had no idea the negative effects my habits were having. I couldn’t believe that in just one week I was feeling so much better!"

10 Reasons Why You Need
Vitamin & Mineral Supplements!

Diet

What you take into your body effects you greatly, this simple fact is never more evident in the foods you eat. If your diet is rich in minerals and vitamins then you one of those people greatly increasing your chances for good health.

Conversely, a diet high in processed foods, ‘fast-foods’, sugars and even an excess consumption of caffeine is a recipe for depleted supplies of vitamins and minerals. Even those oft-seen ‘fad’ diets-the cabbage soup diet, etc.-will lead you down some rocky roads of vitamin and mineral deficiencies.

Overcooking

When you defrost, reheat or cook your food too long you rob it of its nutrients. Boiling and frying your veggies extracts and destroys B vitamins, as does microwaving and cooking meats too long destroying vitamin C, E and B.

Smoking, Drugs and Alcohol

Everyone knows how bad smoking is for our lungs and in increasing chances of cancer but did you know tobacco is also an irritant to your digestive tract and depletes the body’s natural vitamin C and B?

Each cigarette you smoke leeches the body of 30 -70 mg of vitamin C a day! When you drink too much you destroy your brain, skin, eyes and obviously your liver and kidneys. This will lead to a poor nutrient absorption, not to mention deplete your body of all those wonderful and important B vitamins.

Recreational drug use is dangerous. Even prescriptions like antibiotics, prescribed as they are to kill-off bad bacteria, end up killing off good bacteria to. I always recommend a good supplement to counter the side effects of antibiotic use.

Processing of Our Food

Our modern food supply has depleted many of our natural nutrients by the processing and freezing done to it, not to mention the injections of hormones into foods such as meats and dairy. Over the years our soil has lost a lot of its nutrients to, so the crops we grow are deficient in what we need. Vitamin and mineral supplements are essential in providing the nutrients much of our modern food supply cannot.

Inadequate Digestion

A good diet is one thing, poor digestion another. You could be eating all the right foods, taking your supplements but if you are suffering from inefficient digestion you won’t enjoy the benefits of your good diet or supplement intake. Some common causes for poor digestion are not chewing your food well enough, inadequate food combining, or a predisposition like IBS or acid reflux.

“The Silent Killer” Stress

Stress is prevalent in almost all our lifestyles. Constantly running as we do, dealing with our jobs, families, friends, etc. creates a state of turmoil that we try to live in. These stresses can increase our need for vitamins B6, B5 and C.

Mishaps and Disease

While there are plenty of factors on this list we can contribute to, unfortunately there are some we can’t. For instance, if someone is hurt in an accident there will be a loss of protein and trace nutrients to their system. If you have an injury, your body is going to need zinc, Vitamin E and other nutrients to aid in repairing and rebuilding.

Individual Biochemistry

As we are all individuals our specific needs for supplements vary. People in high stress vocations, such as athletes and people working manual labor require more mineral and vitamin intake then some one sitting at a desk all day working. We all need a good supply of vitamins and minerals to supplement our diets. I can test you to see what you are deficient in and create a vitamin mineral protocol to fit you exactly.

Food Sensitivities and Allergies

Knowing you have a problem with certain foods-say you’re allergic to nuts or you suffer from a dairy allergy-you, of course, avoid these foods. But by cutting out certain foods you are also in turn cutting out their nutrients. This is why a mineral and vitamin supplement is beneficial.

Inefficient Sunlight Exposure

There is so much to be said for getting out and smelling the roses! Most of us who simply go from our houses to our cars to our offices and then back home might not truly see the sun for days at a time, and this is not good. Without a healthy exposure to sunshine we rob our bodies of much needed vitamin D and supplements can help us recharge this deficiency.

The list you just read were 10 scientifically valid reason of why you need vitamin and mineral supplements.  If you would like to speak to Dr. Robert about what supplements your body needs give him a call at 201.618.3534.
